About Mesquite
Near the Arizona state line and only 80 miles, northeast of Las Vegas is Mesquite, NV. Mesquite has a population of around 16,000 people and is known as a thriving retirement community. Mesquite was settled by pioneers in the 1800s but wasn’t incorporated as a town until 1984. Mesquite gets its name from the timbers near the original townsite. The city is located in the Virgin River Valley and has many casino resorts and golf courses in the area. There are four schools located in the Valley from the Clark County School District.
